

Mary Lou Motter, 81, of Napoleon, passed away Monday at the Fulton County Health Center, Wauseon, OH. She was born on August 13, 1930 in Holgate, OH. The daughter of William and Loretta (Funk) Cooper. She was united in marriage to Charles Motter on June 23, 1952 and he preceded her in death December 25, 1997.
She was a former employee of Harris Products, Napco Plastics and a former deputy clerk for the Napoleon Municipal Court for many years. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church of Napoleon and a former member of the Studebaker Club-WLEC.
Surviving are three daughters, Cheryl Motter of Radcliff, KY., Christine (Scott) Pullen of Napoleon and Marsha (Andy) Meyer of Napoleon, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Lucy (Dick) Wise of Defiance. She is preceded in death by six siblings, Donald, Dorothy Kretz, Robert Leroy “Pete”, Donna Walker, Virginia Horvath and Billy.
Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary on Thursday, 2 – 5 P.M. and 7 – 8 P.M. where a scripture service will be held at 7:30 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Augustine Catholic Church on Friday at 10:30 A.M. with Father Dan Borgelt, celebrant. Interment will follow at the Riverview Memory Gardens of rural Defiance.
Family suggests memorials may be made to Hospice of Henry County and Henry County Humane Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
