Maria Olvera was born to Jose and Albesa Bueno in Donna, TX on March 16, 1938. There she met her late husband, Moises Olvera. They remained married for 54 years.
Maria was a second mother to many of her 52 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Maria loved spending time outdoors in her garden, sewing, cooking, singing and talking on the phone with her kids and family. Maria made an impact to many lives throughout her life with her sense of humor, advice, love and kindness. She will be missed more than words can describe.
Maria is survived by her children: Yolanda Flores (IN); Maria Flores (IN); Moises Olvera (IN); Petra Olvera (FL); Brijida Coronado (FL); Ester Padron (TX); Irma Olvera (FL); Lydia Olvera (FL); Fidencio Olvera (FL); Dahlia Serrata (FL) and Esperanza Martinez (TX); Maria is also survived by her siblings: Marta Cruz (TX), Juana Cantu (IN), Gloria Guerrero Bueno (TX), Pablo Bueno (IN) and Fidencio Bueno (IN).
Maria was preceded in death by her husband Moises Olvera, her daughter Eulojia "Loy" Cano; brother Francisco Bueno; sister Guadalupe Bueno; brother Jose Bueno; sister Martina Bueno Cavasos; sister Rufina Bueno Garcia; sister Luisa Trevino; brother Manuel Bueno; brother Jose Maria Bueno; sister Eloisa Lozano and brother Placido Bueno.
A funeral mass for Maria will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Saint Martin De Porres, 14881 SW 288 Street, Homestead, FL 33033. A visitation will occur Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Caballero Rivero Palms Woodlawn, 27100 OLD DIXIE HWY, NARANJA, FL 33032. A funeral service will occur Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Caballero Rivero Palms Woodlawn, 27100 OLD DIXIE HWY, NARANJA, FL 33032.
