Salmos 116:15
Sarah Maria Rojas was born on October 12, 1940, in Jayuya, Puerto Rico, to
Paulino Melendez and María Aponte-Melendez. She was a servant of God and she was very devoted to serving God with her heart.
She was a fighter who never gave up. She always knew how to overcome victoriously. As a full-time homemaker and mother, Sarah devoted herself completely to raising her children.
She found joy in simple yet meaningful things. Sarah had a deep love for plants and flowers. She cared for them with the same tenderness as her family. Her home was filled with greenery, and each leaf was a silent witness to her patience and protective spirit.
Although she was steadfast and took her values very seriously, she also had a playful side. She loved Disney characters, especially Mickey and Minnie Mouse. She had a whole collection of them. The joy they brought her showed us that no matter how hard she worked or how heavy her load, she always had room in her heart for fun and fantasy. She also shared a special bond with her beloved dog, Jazmine, who was a faithful companion and a constant source of comfort and joy in her later years.
