

Alice Daigle, 92 of Nashua, NH passed away on Friday, February 28, 2014 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. She was born June 30, 1921 in New Bedford, MA, daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Baty) Germain.
Mrs. Daigle was a resident of Nashua since 1976, coming from New Bedford. She was an inspector of cloth for Berkshire Hathaway in New Bedford and Manchester, NH and for Joan Fabrics in Lowell, MA. She also worked for Bradlees prior to her retirement. In her youth she enjoyed roller-skating. Mrs. Daigle also enjoyed knitting, making blankets, watching game shows and loved her maple walnut ice-cream. She was a member of the Nashua Church of Christ and was very devoted to her family and treasured all the time she shared with them.
She is survived by a son; David R. Daigle and his wife Beverly of Bedford, NH, a daughter; Patricia DeForte and her husband Manuel of Nashua, four grandchildren; Karen, Robert, Christopher and Allison, six great-grandchildren; Haylee, Kaycee, Autumn, Liam, Relena and Steven and by a sister; Eleanor Beauregard of Liberty, ME. She was predeceased by a brother; George Germain and a sister; Margaret Bibby.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 2:30pm in the Nashua Church of Christ, 97 Farley Rd., Nashua. The family greeted friends Thursday from 2:00pm until the time of service in the church. Interment will take place in Amherst Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Rd., Merrimack, NH 03054.
