Loretta "Tina" Flynn

Loretta “Tina” (Sullivan) Carter Flynn, 70, of Nashua, NH passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 surrounded by her family at home. She was born in Boston, MA on February 14, 1942, the daughter of the late Donald and Rachel M. (Paridise) Sullivan.

Tina worked for 21 year in various Sears Roebuck Service Centers; she then went on to work for contractor sales at Home Depot for 5 years. Eventually Tina’s love and passion for care-giving lead her to PLUS Company in Nashua, where she took numerous adults in need of care into her home. Tina continued with the PLUS Company until she was no longer able to take care of others. She enjoyed yard sales and flea markets, traveling, spending time at Lake George, interior decorating, and animals, especially dogs.

She is predeceased by a son, Raymond Carter and a brother Donald Sullivan Jr.

Tina is survived by four sons, Robert Carter of Lowell, MA, Stephen Carter of Burlington, VT, Michael Carter and his wife Lynne of Billerica, MA, and Jason Carter and his special partner Danielle Musick of Nashua; six grandchildren, 3 of the grandchildren whom she was especially close to, Kabryn, Alexandria and Cole Carter; one great granddaughter; her best friend of 50 years, Dottie Toupin, who was always by her side during chemo/doctor’s appointments, Leo Toupin who always lent a helping hand when ever needed, Cathy and John Cornwall who did so much on a daily basis for her, her dear friend of 30 years Pat Dors and Cheryl and Aggie her giving neighbor; as well as many good and cherished friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the great hospice caregivers, Linda, Michelle, Vickie, Jennifer and Debra.

Calling Hours will be held on Monday, May 7, 2012 from 4 PM to 7 PM at ZIS-SWEENEY FUNERAL HOME, 26 KINSLEY STREET, NASHUA, NH 03060. Following cremation, a private memorial service will be held to celebrate Tina’s life. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Tina’s name to the Humane Society of Greater Nashua, 24 Ferry Rd., Nashua, NH 03064 or to the NH SPCA, PO Box 196, Stratham, NH 03885.
