

He was born in Nashua on September 16, 1927, the son of the late Arsene and Alice (Dube) Berger.
Louis was a long time Nashua resident. He was educated in the local school system, graduating from Nashua High School. He served his Country in the US Navy during WWII. He was employed as a Window Clerk for the US Postal Service in Nashua for many years until his retirement in 1984. Louis was a member of the American Legion Post 9, DAV Chapter 7, and the VFW Post 483. He enjoyed listening to Jazz music, nature, was an avid reader of both books and maps, and liked spending time at the ocean.
He is predeceased by his wife, Bessie (Ivalis) Berger in 1985, and a son-in-law, Bill Leblanc.
Louis is survived by a son, Robert Berger and his wife Sarah of Sikeston, MO; a daughter, Dianne Leblanc of Las Vegas, NV; a brother, Albert Berger and his wife Loretta of Nashua, NH; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, December 6, 2010 from 10 AM to 12 PM at ZIS-SWEENEY FUNERAL HOME, 26 KINSLEY STREET, NASHUA, NH 03060. A Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Funeral Home at Noon. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Nashua. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Louis’s name to Home Health & Hospice Care, Community Hospice House, Attn: Development, 22 Prospect St, Nashua, NH 03060.
