Marie Zibolis

Marie Jeanne “Irene” (LeBlanc) Zibolis, 87, of Nashua, NH passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. She was born in Nashua on April 17, 1929, daughter of the late Philippe and Yvonne (Bujold) Leblanc.

Irene was a gifted artist who entered several paintings into exhibits in New England and Florida, winning many awards. Her artwork graces the homes of many friends, family members and other admirers of her work. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and had a wide and eclectic circle of close friends. She loved to knit, sew and work with fabrics. She also loved to travel, and was fortunate to have visited England, Italy, Turkey and China. An avid reader, she enjoyed playing scrabble, doing crossword puzzles and conversation with those close to her. A talented cook, Irene often entertained both family and friends with flair, food and a joie-de-vivre.

She was the widow of John “Vic” Zibolis, whom she married in May of 1948 in Nashua. They shared 68 years together before his death on June 4, 2016.

She is survived by her brother, Ronald LeBlanc of Falmouth, Maine; her three sons; Glen Zibolis and wife, Beth Leconte of Peace Dale, RI; John Zibolis of Candia, NH; and Michael Zibolis and his wife, Laurie of Milford, NH; two grandsons, Abraham Zibolis and his significant other, Tina Wilson of Merrimack, NH; Chad Zibolis and his wife Caitlin of Milford, NH; and one granddaughter, Alexis Zibolis and her significant other, Michael McBride, of Belleview, WA. She is also survived by four great grandchildren; Mya, Logan, Dakota and Jameson; several nieces, nephews, cousins and her grand-dogs; Captain, Willy, Maddie, Chloe, Leroy and Harry.

She was predeceased by her brother John P. Almard LeBlanc and her sister Jeannine Beaudin.
