Perry Lynn Theresa McFarland

Perry Lynn Theresa McFarland, 68, of Litchfield, NH passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2015 in the St. Joseph Hospital, Nashua. She was born October 4, 1946 in Damariscotta, ME, a daughter of Sumner F. McFarland and the late Catherine (Cole) McFarland.

Lynn had a remarkable faith and always had a word of wisdom to share as well as a memory better than anyone. She truly lived a full life, giving of herself to the convent at a very young age, working as a book binder, printer, photographer, a career she gave up to care for children, nieces, nephews and many other children over the years for little money, it was done out of love. She taught CCD most of her life, in Billerica and at St. Johns in Hudson with her sister. She was also involved with the FISH Program, helping those in need Billerica. She lived her life for others.

She is survived by her father; Sumner McFarland and his wife Charline of Limerick, ME, 10 brothers and sisters; Donna Cook of Derry, NH, John E. McFarland and his wife Triva of Tampa, FL, Cathy Felt and her husband Chuck of Milton, NH, Sonny McFarland and his wife Alice of Goffstown, NH, Gail Cossar and her husband George of Waterboro, ME, Maryanne Leslie and her husband Don of Sanford, ME, Joe McFarland of Waterboro, Jim McFarland and his wife Annette of Waterboro, Laurie Olson and her husband David of Litchfield, NH and Tracey DuPaul and her husband Scott of Waterboro. She is also survived by 23 nieces and nephews, 32 great-nieces and nephews and a great great niece and great great nephew. She was predeceased by her mother; Catherine (Cole) McFarland in 1983.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm in the Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley St., Nashua. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00am at Saint John XXIII Parish in St. John the Evangelist Church, 25 Library St., Hudson, NH. Following cremation interment will take place in Waterboro Cemetery, Waterboro, ME. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to in St. John the Evangelist Church, 25 Library St., Hudson, NH 03051.
