Robert E. Dupont

Robert E. Dupont, 82, of Milford, NH passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2012 in the Crestwood Care and Rehabilitation Center, Milford. He was born August 4, 1929, son of the late Joseph and Rose (Nichol) Dupont. Mr. Dupont had been a resident of Nashua, NH for 60 years and had also lived in Twin Mountain, NH. From 1946-1948 he served with the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Dupont worked many years at Dionne Brothers Furniture in Nashua. In his later years,Mr. Dupont worked as a ride attendant at Santa’s Village. He enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, camping, bowling, and playing cribbage. Mr. Dupont had been a communicant of St. Francis and St. Louis de Gonzague Church in Nashua. He treasured his time spent with his family and friends and will be long remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and his joke telling ability.

He is survived by four sons; Alan Dupont and his wife Laurie of Hudson, NH, Dan Dupont of Nashua, Wilfred Dupont and his significant other Jessica Philbrook and Conrad Dupont of Nashua, three daughters; Peggy Berube and her husband Robert of Londonderry, Brenda Gordon and her husband Mark of Nashua and Lynn Stocking of Nashua. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; Chris, Cory, Rebecca, Kristina, Matthew, Jeff, Bryanna, Valerie, Melanie, Aaron, Jamie-Lee, Jeremy and Bryce, five great-grandchildren; Brandon, Janessa, Jazline, Aidan and Caleb and also by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his last sibling Leopold Dupont of Nashua, NH. He was predeceased by his wife; Yvonne (Tremblay) Dupont in 1991, a son-in-law Dennis Stocking in 2007 and also by nine brothers and sisters.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2012 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm in the Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley St., Nashua. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 9:30am in St. Louis de Gonzague Church, 48 West Hollis St., Nashua. Interment in St. Francis Cemetery, Nashua will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Merrimack Hospice House, 210 Naticook Road, Merrimack, NH 03054.
