Charlynn Rae Williamson, age 67, of Nashville passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021 at the I.U. Health; Bloomington Hospital. Born September 23, 1953 in Columbus, Indiana, she was the daughter of Wendell J. and Charlottte L. (Sciscoe) Williamson. She retired in 2014 from being an elementary teacher from 1976 to 2014 for Brown County Community Schools, primarily at Nashville Elementary and later at VanBuren Elementary. She was an active member of Parkview Church of the Nazarene where she was a Sunday school teacher for toddlers and for one adult class. She also was involved with the church’s quilters group and Operation Christmas Child. In addition to church activities, she was active with the God’s Grace Organization.
Charlynn is survived by her daughter who was the best thing that ever happened to her, Whitney Williamson, of Nashville, one brother, Norm Williamson, of Georgetown, Texas; two nieces, Tiffany (David) Gardner, of Bloomington and Haley (Chase) Bullard, of Austin, Texas; two nephews, Jeremy Williamson, of New Albany, Ohio and Logan (Sydney) Williamson, of Austin, Texas and six great nieces and nephews, Ross, Grant, Payton, and Gracyn Gardner, Isabelle Bullard and Oliver Williamson.
Charlynn was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Parkview Church of the Nazarene with Pastors Jason Riggle and David Hayes officiating. Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the church.
