

Irene Anne Craig Craciunoiu, age 90, of Nashville died Sunday evening at the Brown County Health and Living Center. Born March 25, 1925 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of Antone and Helen Stolarski. She was the owner of the former Sparkle Plenty Gift Shop in Nashville from 1971-2006 and formerly owned and operated along with her husband the Nick Craig Music Stores in Indianapolis. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Nashville and a former member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Indianapolis. She was an avid team bowler and loved to play cards. She was a fan of I.U. Basketball and the Indiana Pacers.
Irene is survived by her son, Thomas Craciunoiu, of Nashville and two daughters and son-law, Paula Roberts, of Columbus and Niki and Ed Glover, of Indianapolis; three grandchildren, Mike (Brittany) Craciunoiu, of Indianapolis, Sarah Craciunoiu, of Washington, D.C. and Nic Roberts, of Indianapolis and two great-grandchildren, Emerick and Barrett Craciunoiu.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nick Craig Craciunoiu in 1985, five sisters and two brothers.
A private family graveside funeral service will be held at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown. Burial will immediately follow the graveside service. All who wish to pay their respects are invited to visit the Brown County Health and Living Center and express a special “thank-you” to the staff of “C” Hall who provided Irene with friendship and the quality of life her disease allowed the past five years.
The family prefers in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
