Margaret L. Allender

Margaret L. Allender, age 85, of Nashville passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at her residence. Born October 1, 1936 in Nashville, she was the daughter of Millard and Desie (Mahan) Joy. Margaret graduated from the Helmsburg High School and owned the Nashville Candy Store. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her fellow shop owners in Nashville.

Margaret is survived by her six children, Dennis (Kimberly) Allender, of Nashville, Tamara “Tammy” Davidson, of Nashville, Michael Allender, of Nineveh, Garry (Wilma) Allender, of Morgantown, Larry Allender, of Nashville and David (Teresa) Allender, of Bloomington; grandchildren, Matthew Allender, of Avon, Jonathan Allender, of Logansport, Melissa Combs, of Ohio, Jessica Watson, of Zionsville, Rachel Osborn, Of Indianapolis, Christopher Allender, of Indianapolis, Justin Allender, of Indianapolis, Brandon Allender, of Indianapolis and Jennifer Roberts, of Bloomington; great-grandchildren, Aaliyah Boots, of Lafayette, Jake Osborn, of Bloomington, Mikayla Osborn, of Bloomington, Sara Osborn, of Bloomington, Mason Osborn, of Beech Grove, Justin Allender, Jr, of Indianapolis, Navi Roberts, of Bloomington, Cameron Roberts, of Bloomington and Jalen Roberts, Bloomington and two great-great-grandchildren, Charlotte Osborn and Liam Osborn.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, James Joy, Maxine Hall, Wilma Stewart, Betty Bright and Lee Joy at the age of six.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. at the Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home; 1682 St. Rd. 135 North; Nashville.
