Milly served as Secretary to Indiana University President Herman B Wells during his Presidency and then after he became Chancellor spanning the years 1958-1965. She later authored a book about her experiences, “Herman B Wells: Memories of a Colleague” which can still be found on Amazon.
Milly partnered with her husband in the David E. Hennessy Company, an international training consulting firm, holding the position of Publication Editor until her retirement in 1995.
A real “fashionista”, Milly loved to shop at Chicos, have lunch (and margaritas) with friends, and cookies any time. She celebrated 100 years of living last December 13 in the Memorial Union of her beloved Indiana University.
Mildred is survived by her younger brother, Bob (Pat) Boyer; two stepdaughters, Nancy (David) Sargent and Cindy (Tom) Nelson; son-in-law, Ralph (Holly) Hall, along with ten grandchildren and many other beloved family members.
In addition to her parents, Milly was preceded in death by both her husbands, Bill Lettelleir and David E. Hennessy and both her children, Tim Lettelleir and Holly Lettelleir Hall.
Graveside services to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 a.m., December 13, 2025, at Duncan Cemetery in Brown County west of Nashville, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Brown County Citizens Scholarship, P.O. Box 191, 209 Van Buren Street North, Nashville, IN 47448, www.browncountygives.org
