

Richard “Rick” Scott Aspenson, age 66, of Nashville, Indiana passed away Saturday, October 4th, 2025, at his home in Brown County. Born June 2nd, 1959, in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of Richard and Mary (Parsons) Aspenson.
Rick was the varsity football starter, “Tank,” for Brown County High School. Rick graduated from Brown County High School and then served in the U.S. Army as a diesel mechanic. After his time in the military, Rick worked in maintenance and security for the park.
Richard is survived by his mother Mary, loving partner of 25 years, Tina Frazee, his son, Joshua Aspenson, his daughter, Troy Carroll, step son, Mathew Williams, step daughter, Tara (Brian) Sims; six grandchildren, Jasmine Johnson, Janae Johnson, Josh Carroll, Jorja Carroll, Jacob Carroll, Trevor Shirhall; eight step grandchildren, Zach Sims, Jaden Sims, Bricen Sims, Madisyn Sims, Jackson Sims, Carter Crockett, Greyson Williams, Ayven Williams and two great-grandchildren, Shia Addair and Nyla Addair and Brother Randy Aspenson.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, Richard Dean Aspenson, and his grandparents, Glen and Emily Parsons.
Rick was a “free spirit that did it his way.” He loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandkids. Rick was a fan of fast cars and motorcycles, he enjoyed watching Nascar. Rick was a loyal friend; he was a fighter for the people he cared about. He had recently been baptized.
A memorial service will be Friday, October 17th, at 11 AM at Parkview Church of the Nazarene at 1750 IN-46 Nashville, In 47448.
