Tom Rogers Taylor passed away peacefully on May 18, 2019. He was born in Seymour, IN to John Hugh and Leota Marie (Rogers) Taylor on December 7, 1939. Tom was happily married for nearly 56 years to Sondra Kay (Rebber) and was recently married to Barbara Jean (Schultz). Tom is survived by his wife, Jean, his two children; Jill (& Steve) Goeglein of Noblesville and Patrick (& Kim) Taylor of Shelbyville. He is also survived by his five beautiful grandchildren; Kailyn (& Daniel) Andersen of Michigan, Allison and Victoria Goeglein of Noblesville and Tyce and Cory Taylor of Shelbyville. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, his infant daughter DeAnn Kay Taylor and his wife Sondra Kay (Rebber). Tom retired from Cummins Engine Company after 30 years and farmed simultaneously for 38 years. He was active in many different organizations throughout his lifetime including President and Member of the Schoenhut Club, an active member of the Lions Club in both Indiana and Florida, a 50+ year member of Masons, a Friend of the Park in Brown County, as well as a Naples Zoo Supporter. In addition, he was an active member of Burnsville Christian Church and most recently an active member at both Nashville Christian Church and Isle of Capri Christian Church. He spent his free time traveling, collecting antique toys and working in his workshop. A Memorial Service will be held on June 3, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Nashville Christian Church, 160 S. Van Buren St., Nashville, IN 47448, with Pastor Kendall Yeaton officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to Nashville Christian Church with memo Youth Group, C/O Nashville Christian Church, 160 S Van Buren St, Nashville, IN 47448 or online at https://fundly.com/nashville-christian-youth-group-collection. Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
