He is survived by his daughter, Edna "Ande" Nickell; four grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; and several cousins.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred; and his son, Gailor "Ben" Louis Gerth.
Albert graduated from East High School in Nashville, TN and married his high-school sweet-heart, Mildred. He spent many years working for the family business, Crown Tent and Awning. He serviced in the United States Air Force and was a lifelong member of First Lutheran Church. He enjoyed volunteering at the TN Railroad Museum and was also an active member of 50 Foreward Madison.
Visitation will be held at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home on January 14, 2015 from noon to service time at one o'clock in the afternoon.
