Polly was a devoted homemaker, talented artist, and had a passion for protecting, caring for, and adopting animals. She graduated from Nashville Isaac Litton High School and Peabody College at Vanderbilt University in Nashville.
Polly was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Edna (Jared) Langlois, and brother, the Reverend Dr. John Langlois.
She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 58 years, Murray Heimberg, PhD, MD. She is also survived by children, Larry Knox (Sheri), David Knox, Rick Heimberg (Linda), and Steve Heimberg (Seng Hak); brother, the Reverend Dr. Raymond Langlois; sisters, Betty Langlois Garner and Mary Langlois. She was a very proud grandmother to Peter Knox (Heather), Anna Knox Colwell (Chris), Chris Macaluso, Nichole Lara Heimberg, and 8 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022 at 10:30 am with services at 11:30 am in Woodlawn's Dignity Hall and a reception to follow.
