Barbara J Lane

Barbara J Lane of Nashville, Tennessee on May 14, 2023, Barbara Kanago Lane, loving mother of 5 children, 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, passed away at the age of 85.

Barbara was born on May 17, 1937, in Sioux Falls, SD. She raised two daughters, Belinda and Nancy, and three sons, Richard, Jack Jr, and Robert.

Barbara had a passion for crocheting, needlepoint, and puzzles. She loved to hunt for treasure at thrift shops and decorate her house for the seasons and every holiday.

She also enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren- priding herself on never missing one of their ball games. Barbara worked for over 35 years at the Opryland Hotel.

Barbara is preceded by her father, Elmer Kanago, mother, Ruth McGuire, sister, Joyce, brother, Jack, ex-husband, Jack Lane. Her two brothers survive her: Jerry Kanago and Randy Kanago, as well as her five children: Belinda Spray, Richard Lane, Nancy Goodwin, Jack Lane Jr., and Robert Lane; her grandchildren:: Nikki Miller, Chad Spray, Kendall Spray, Eric Lane, Max Lane, Bonnie Lane, Beth Crutcher, Chris Scott, Gene Scott, Deanna Butler, Brandon Lane, Kara Lane Robinson and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Barbara will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204, followed by a funeral service from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Flowers or donations may be sent to the Funeral Home.
