

Brannon Huddleston, age 88, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2013. He was born on June 23, 1925 to Robert C. Huddleston and Carrie Whitehead Huddleston. He is preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Hailey Shea Huddleston, and by his brothers Ralph, Clay, Robert, Lynn and John Huddleston and sister Lois Ellis. He is survived by his children Michael (Ann) Huddleston, Bobby Huddleston and Rebecca H. Page, grandchildren Martin, Connolly, Mary, Tom and Katie Huddleston, Brian and Kevin Page, sisters Sarah Walker, Ruth (Bill) Baker and brother Elwyn (Mayron) Huddleston, many nieces and nephews.
Brannon was a longtime faithful and active member of St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church. He was a proud graduate of East High School 1943 and University of the South at Sewanee 1948 where he attended on a GI Bill due to his loyal service in the US Navy during World War II. He also held a law degree from YMCA Night Law School. He worked at First American Bank in the trust department for 29 years and then joined his brother Bob as a co-owner of Nashville Plywood where he retired in 1992.His full time job the past 20 years has been deeply devoted to the lives and well being of especially his 7 grandchildren, his children, as well as family members and friends who deeply regret his loss.Visitation will be held at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church, 4800 Belmont Park Terrace, Nashville, TN on Tuesday, Oct 15 from 6-8:30pm. Funeral service will be at the church on Wednesday, Oct 16 at 10:30 am, officiated by longtime friend Father Dave Wilson. Internment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his four grandsons, Michael Marchetti and Patrick Simpson.
