Carolyn graduated from East High School in Nashville and devoted her life to her family and faith. A loving homemaker, Carolyn was most proud to serve as a pastor’s wife alongside her beloved husband, Dr. H. Raymond Langlois, Jr., whom she married on September 8, 1951. Together, they shared over 73 years of marriage filled with unwavering love, support, and dedication to ministry and family.
Carolyn was a strong Christian woman whose strength, grace, and kindness left a lasting impact on all who knew her. She was a faithful member of Judson Baptist Church, where she actively supported her husband’s pastoral work and engaged in the life of the church community. She especially cherished time with her family and looked forward to vacations spent making memories with those she loved most.
She is survived by her sons, Mark Raymond Langlois (Robin) and Joel Wade Langlois (Charles Raper); her grandsons, Jeremy Raymond Langlois (Lora) and Wesley Robert Langlois; and her great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Catherine, Anna, and James Raymond. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. H. Raymond Langlois, Jr.; her brother, Don Snell; and her sisters, Betty Jo Wiggs and Jane Pharris.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Judson Baptist Church, 4900 Franklin Pike, Nashville, TN 37220. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM, officiated by Rev. Rick Carpenter. Burial will take place immediately after at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Carolyn’s life was a testament to her faith, love for her family, and quiet strength. Her legacy of devotion, compassion, and grace will live on in all who were blessed to know her.
