Charles Emmitt Butts, Sr., of Nashville, Tennessee, age 81, passed away on September 27, 2016. Preceded in death by his parents, Emmitt Cecil and Annie Lucille Butts; brother, Don Butts; son-in-law, Charlie Hailey; and granddaughter, Mickey. Survived by wife, Yvonne Butts; children, Pamela (Clifton) Allen, Becky (Carl) Hailey Groendes, Chuck (Sherry) Butts, and Eddie (Betty) Butts; five grandchildren, Cody Allen, Christy Hailey Finch, Annie Hailey, Robert Hailey, and Leslie Butts; four great-grandchildren, Chase Finch, Ellie and Larra Hailey, and Morgan Hailey; sister, Betty Rice; and brother-in-law, Gary Rice. Charles was a graduate of West End High School and had a career with Jersey Farms and Arrow Pest Control. His passion was playing cards. Visitation will be held at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home on Thursday, September 29, 2016, from ten o’clock in the morning until one o’clock in the afternoon, with service to follow at one. Interment to take place at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
