Danny Harold Barker

Danny was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Harold Rice Barker and Mamie Martindale Barker. He leaves behind a large and loving family who will continue to honor his legacy. He is survived by his four children: Melissa Barker; Miranda Smith and her husband, Brad; Brian Barker and his wife, Amanda; and Justin Barker.

Danny was a proud grandfather to many "Grands" including Tehya Robertson, Malee Barker, Cara Smith, Lindsey Smith, Colin Smith, Krista Harris and her husband, Brian, Ethan Barker, Patricia Lane, Cayden Lane, and Bella Barker. His legacy further extends to six great-grandchildren.

Danny is also survived by his siblings Ann Barker, Kay Barker, and Tom Barker and his wife, Allyson. He will be deeply missed by his longtime special friend, Amy Woods.

Throughout his life, Danny found great comfort in the company of his animals. He was protected and loved in his final moments by his faithful Black Lab, Nestly, who remained by his side until his very last breath.

Arrangements for cremation are being handled by Hibbett and Hailey Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Pond Creek Congregational Church in Alamo, Tennessee. It will be followed by a short service of remembrance if anyone would like to share some of their favorite memories.
