Dewey Carpenter

He was born in Nashville, the son of the late Bob and Vernise Carpenter. Mr. Carpenter was a longtime member of Lebanon Road Church of Christ. He was a faithful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, and will be greatly missed by all.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Christine Carpenter; daughters, Faye Carpenter Morris and Diane Carpenter; grandsons, B.J. (Amy) Morris and Matthew Monday, and great grandchildren, Logan, Savannah, and Bailey Morris.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and also on Thursday, October 12, 2017 an hour prior to the service.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home at 1:00 pm with J.D. Buckner and Harry Middleton officiating.

Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Serving as active pallbearers are Randy Rice, Wayne Davidson, Richard Roberson, Bruce Reid, B.J. Morris, and Mark Dennis. Honorary pallbearers are the elders and deacons of Lebanon Road Church of Christ, and all former employees of Randolph & Rice.
