Don Edwin Goad

Don Edwin Goad, 83, of Nashville, TN, passed away on August 1, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on July 6, 1941, in Pleasant Shade, TN, Don was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

A proud graduate of Isaac Litton High School in 1960, Don went on to earn journeyman certificates in lithography. His career in lithographic printing spanned many years, reflecting his dedication and expertise in the field. Don's passion for his work was matched only by his devotion to his family and faith.

On February 14, 1963, Don married Martha Spann Goad at Meridian Street United Methodist Church in Nashville. Their 61 years of marriage were a testament to their deep love and commitment to each other. Don was an active member of Christ Church Nashville, where he found joy and fulfillment in his faith. His love for the outdoors and his family were central to his life, and he cherished every moment spent in their company.

Don is survived by his beloved wife, Martha; daughters Debbie Taggard and Sharon Golden (Maurice); and grandsons John Taggard and Brendan Golden. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Lillian Goad, and his sister, Sandra Goad.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Woodlawn Roesch Patton Funeral Home, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN 37204. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM, at Woodlawn Roesch Patton Funeral Home with burial to follow the service.
