FINKE, Dorothy “Mickie” Brown Kimbro born February 15, 1932. Born to eternal life on January 31, 2012. Preceded in death by parents, Eva Mai Brown and Carl Brown; first husband, Bill Kimbro; second husband, Frank Finke; sister ,Anna Phillips. Survived by sons, Chris (Dang) Kimbro, Andy (Ronnica) Kimbro, Barry (Tracey) Kimbro. brothers, Sonny Brown, Ronnie Brown and Buddy Brown; sister, Eva Brown; grandchildren; Barry (Brett)Calhoun, Amanda, Will and Scotty Kimbro; step grandchildren, Julia and Jocelyn Stanley and four legged companion, John Henry (Gain); caregivers, Martha Jameson and Deborah Kemp. Mrs. Finke was an active member of St. Edward Catholic Church and served as the first president of Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. Mickie enjoyed playing bridge, dancing, reading, traveling and entertaining friends and family. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be conducted Friday February 2, 2012, 10:00 am at St. Edwards Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Patrick Breen officiating. Interment will follow at 12:30 p.m. in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Serving as active Pallbearers will be Jeff Adkisson, Tom Bergman, Marc Kuhns, Gabe Kemp, David Smith and Pat Marzella. Honorary Pallbearers will be Sister Louise Shoulta, Rita Raymer, Jere Neal, Fred Bryan, Dr. Jeff Esking, Dr. Clyde Heflin, Dr. Jay Kayser and their staff. Visitation with the family will be Thursday at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral from 1-8 pm and Friday from 9-9:30. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Edward’s Endowment Fund or Charity of your choice.
