Mr. Earle Wayne Smotherman age 91, of Nashville, TN, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2015. Mr. Smotherman was born in Nashville, TN, on August 24, 1924 the son of the late Bascom Smotherman and Irene Jakes Smotherman.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II. Mr. Smotherman was a member of Brush Hill Presbyterian Church. He retired from Lellyett & Rogers Company after sixty years of service as Plant Manager. Mr. Smotherman was an avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie Lehning Smotherman of sixty-eight years and a daughter, Debbie Smotherman.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, October 22, 2015, at two thirty in the afternoon, Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
The Friendly Class of Brush Hill Church will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Wednesday from four o’clock until seven o’clock in the evening at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton-Funeral Home.
