

Loma Elaine Morrow, age 88, of Crossville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August, 6, 2024. Born on December 1, 1935, in Chapel Hill, Tennessee, Elaine was the daughter of Pauline Paul Galbreath and Floyd Lentz Galbreath.
Elaine graduated from Columbia Central High School in Columbia, Tennessee. She devoted much of her professional life to bookkeeping, serving in the Circuit Court Clerk's offices of both Maury County and Cumberland County. Her meticulous attention to detail and dedication were evident in all her work.
On June 10, 1986, Elaine married James Edward (Jim) Morrow in Nashville, Tennessee. Their 39 years together were marked by a deep, unwavering love and companionship, making Jim her best friend and the love of her life.
Elaine is survived by her husband, Jim Morrow; her son, Joe Minor; her daughter, Tanya Minor Combs; her cherished granddaughter, Mandy Eldridge; and her brother, Donald Lentz (Ernestine) Galbreath, along with numerous nieces. She is remembered fondly by all who knew her for her unconditional love, warm smile, and the beauty she brought into the lives of those around her.
Elaine's faith in Jesus Christ was a cornerstone of her life, and she instilled this love in her children from an early age. Her genuine kindness and unconditional love left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She had a beautiful heartfelt smile that made everyone know they were dear to her heart.
Elaine was a woman of many talents, particularly in handwork. She was an accomplished seamstress, knitter, crocheter, rug hooker, quilter, and basket weaver. Her creativity and skill were evident in all her projects, each one crafted to perfection. She was also a wonderful cook, known for preparing delicious meals that brought joy and comfort to her family and friends. Elaine enjoyed gardening, playing golf with her husband, and taking day trips.
A dedicated member of her community, Elaine played a pivotal role in founding the rug hooking group "By Hook or By Crook" in Crossville. Her leadership and talent were instrumental in the group’s growth that it became so large a second group was formed. Along with winning many contests, her work was featured in the book Hooked Rugs of the Deep South by Jessie A. Turbayne.
Elaine's legacy is one of love, creativity, and faith. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A gathering of family & friends for Elaine will be held Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204, followed by a celebration of life at 11:30 AM.
