

Ervin “Erv” Cudal Evangelista was born on February 12, 1965 to his loving & dedicated parents, Agelia & Eliseo Evangelista, in Bantug, Umingan, Pangasinan, Philippines. Ervin and his siblings Ed, Joe, & Lani grew up in Carroll, Iowa. Growing up in a close knit family, with strong family values, and lots of love. He attended Iowa State University, in Ames, Iowa. Ervin graduated as Magna Cum Laude with honors from Tennessee State University. Ervin was a Desert Storm Army Veteran with the highest of honors.
Ervin married his beautiful wife, Lynn, & they built a wonderful life together in Tennessee. This is where they chose to raise their beautiful family, consisting of 3 girls, April, Cassie, & Sarah. Later the family grew with son-in-law, Jimbo, grandson Jase, granddaughters Brooke and Arabella. Very soon, his youngest daughter, Sarah, will be delivering his 4th grandchild, Lizzie. As well as over the years many pets, he was an animal lover. Erv was an intelligent, funny, generous, and humble man. He was brave, strong, and resilient. He was a foodie and was always the most gracious host. He always took care of people and made them feel welcomed. He was always the happiest around his family. His girls gave him such great joy, he remained extremely close to his parents & siblings maintaining unbreakable bonds. Ervin lived his life to the fullest & spent his last days surrounded by his family, planning the menu for this Thanksgiving wanting everyone to get together with him one last time, and making sure everyone’s needs were met and he took time to show his love for each individual in his own special way. While maintaining extreme gratitude for the life he had all the way to the end. Most importantly Ervin will be remembered as a good man, a super Dad, awesome Grandpa, excellent Son, the best little brother, exceptional Uncle/Godfather, coolest cousin, and outstanding friend.
A visitation for Ervin will be held Friday, December 3, 2021 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. Following the visitation will be a funeral service from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM.
Ervin will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, Tennessee 37204.
