Smetona AKA: Brucie or Smitty,age 95., passed away October 24, 2017, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born on Dec 8, 1921 to Osee (McKenney) Livingston in Nashville, Tennessee. She married Adam Smetona. Mrs. Smetona was preceded in death by her mother, husband, sister and cousins. She worked at Baptist Hospital as an LPN before retirement. Mrs. Smetona never had children but is survived by loving cousins and caregivers: Jan (Steve) Davis, Wayne McDonald, Allen (Lynn) McDonald, Ken (Donna) Gates, Cheryl Summers, all from the Nashville area; nephew, Jim (Lucy) Beaver (Illinois) and niece, Pam (Gene) Keck (Indiana). She also was the surrogate grandmother and great grandmother to all of their children and grandchildren. Graveside services will be Sunday, October 29, 2017, at the historic Mount Olivet Cemetery, with Pastor, Kristi Shay Moore officiating. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Alive Hospice, or Belleue Presbyterian Church in Mrs. Smetona's memory.
