Farid is survived by his wife Faye; daughters Reem Provinsal, Dena Abdulla and Sara Hodges; son Farris Abdulla; brother Dr. Farouk Abdulla; grandchildren Drew, Meagan, Lauren and Preston; and extended family.
He graduated with a bachelors from the University of Baghdad and with a Masters from the University of Tennessee in 1965 where he met his loving wife of 48 years, Faye McCall. He loved his 27 years working as an accountant at United Cities Gas Company and the many friendships he formed along the way.
Farid was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all. Farid loved raising rare breed show pigeons, outsmarting others at chess, playing soccer, and learning about world history. He enjoyed cooking, coaching his children’s soccer and chess clubs, and attending his grandkids events.
Visitation with family and friends from five o’clock until seven o’clock in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall, 660 Thompson Lane on Wednesday, May 7th with Celebration of Life Service to be held at six o’clock in the Chapel.
