Frances S. Stribling passed away on March 9, 2018. She was born in Atlanta GA on December 29, 1939. She is preceded in death by her parents Tom and Frances Shropshire. She is survived by her husband, Gene; children, Cathy, Keith (Beth); one grandson, Lowell, and her sister Catherine Hardman, Atlanta, GA.
Frances attended Westminister in Atlanta, GA and graduated in 1957. She attended the University of Alabama as a Home Economics Major where she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority, and a huge football supporter. ROLL TIDE!!
Frances was a member of the Centennial Club, Women’s Club, Hillwood Country Club, and numerous Garden Clubs. Frances participated in a lot of tennis at Hillwood Country Club but no golf! She was very active in Friends of Cumberland Heights for many, many years.
Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday March 14, 2018 from 4-6 at Marshall-Donnelly-Combs Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be on Thursday at 2:00 PM at Belle Meade Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Cumberland Heights.
