

Frances Morton Walker, 92, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee. Born in Wartrace, Tennessee, on April 2, 1932, Frances was the daughter of Gracie Word and Glenn Curtis Morton.
Frances spent her life working as a bank teller at First American Bank, which is now known as Regions Bank, where she was known for her impeccable work ethic and the care she took with each person she met.
Vibrant and full of life, Frances had a smile that could light up any room. She was known for her humility, compassion, and deep devotion as a wife and mother. Her family meant the world to her, and she spent much of her time lovingly “nagging” her sons, Christopher and Timothy, while cheering on her children at sporting events. A lover of crosswords and spending time with her loved ones, Frances found joy in the simple pleasures of family life.
She was an active member of the Community Bible Church and enjoyed being involved in the community.
Frances is survived by her two sons, Christopher Walker and Timothy Walker (Diane); her grandchildren, Jeff Escue and Katie Sellens (Jason); and her great-grandchildren, McKinnley Scott and Jackson Sellens. She is also survived by her sisters, Patsy Throneberry, Nancy Lovvorn, and Wanda Csuy, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Frances was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Orlin “Charlie” Walker; her parents, Glenn and Gracie Morton; her brothers, Robert Morton and Wayne Morton; and her sisters, Margaret Nowlin and Betty Porterfield.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, February 24, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Roesch Patton Funeral Home, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, Tennessee. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:00 PM, and internment will take place afterward at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
