Mr. Cripps was born in DeKalb County, TN, on August 30, 1923, the son of the late Troy K. Cripps and Suzie Murphy Cripps. Mr. Cripps served in the United States Navy and retired as a truck driver. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cripps was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Cripps; two sons, Bobby and Eddie Cripps; a brother, Javin Cripps; a sister, Rose Miller; a grandson, Billy Cripps; and a granddaughter, Kimberly Blackman.
Survivors include a son, Donald (Patsy) Cripps; a daughter, Frankie Morrow (Dale), seven grandchildren; three sisters, Marie Ford, Judy (Jimmy) Williams, and Connie; and a brother, Troy Cripps, Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at one o’clock, Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall. Entombment service will follow in the Woodlawn’s Cross Mausoleum.
Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Tuesday from four o’clock until eight o’clock at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
