

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel A. Love, Sr.; step-son, Sam (Dick) Love, Jr.; sister, Waweda (Buddie) McLemore; brothers, Charles, Alton and Millard McLemore, grandson, Allan Love, and her parents. She was born on August 6, 1922 to the late Rev. Thomas Hurt McLemore and Bessie Turnbow McLemore DeFoe.
She is survived by her daughters, Doris Cantagallo of Novato, CA; Beverly (Rik) Morris of Murfreesboro; step-daughter Gayle Fox of Cape Coral, FL; granddaughters Diane Hiland, Katie (Jason) McGuire, Beth (Brian) Crowe, and Lynell Love; grandsons, Tim (Jamie) Crunk, Jr., Chuck Solak, Chip (Penny) Hooper, Chuck (Kathy) Hooper, and Greg Love, many great-grandchildren and beloved nieces and nephews.
Frankie was born and raised in Hohenwald, TN. She was a ‘Rosie the Riveter’ at the Willow Run Bomber Plant in Ypsilanti, Michigan during WWII while her sister, Buddie, and brother, Charles, served in the military. She earned a promotion and tested cockpit controls in B-24 Liberator military aircraft prior to her marriage. Following her husband’s death in 1969, she completed nurses training and became an OB/GYN nurse at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
She enjoyed gardening, bowling, taking care of her grandchildren, and spending time with her great-grandchildren, Melissa, Robert (Jack), Jaxin, Riley, and Katelynn.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Saturday February 8,2020 from one o’clock until three o’clock in the afternoon at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be private at Woodlawn’s Memorial Park.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, or the Alzheimer’s Association.
