George proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, where he earned the Bronze Star for his bravery and dedication. After his service, he retired from Vought Aerostructure Industries, where he was respected for his strong work ethic and quiet determination.
A devoted member of Donelson First Baptist Church, George found joy in simple pleasures—going to the Donelson YMCA, walking the Greenway, exploring nature, and sharing laughter with those he loved. Known for his generous heart, he never met a stranger and was always ready to lend a helping hand or share a good meal.
George was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Georgia Lois Hill, and his brothers and sisters Donnie Hill, Shirley Hicks, and Ronald Hill.
He is survived by his daughters Donna Jordan and Diana Hill, stepson William Darnell (Elizabeth), grandchildren Dominique Hill, Jeff Patterson, Mark Richardson, Chandra McKinnie, Danyel Gamble (Scotty), Joshua Hill, and Rachael Darnell, and great-grandchildren Caleb Cantrell, Aniyah McKinnie, Zaria Kirk, and Koa Gamble, Ivey and Jacquelyn Hill. He is also survived by his siblings Frankie Hill, Evelyn Ivey, and Jackie Hill.
George’s legacy lives on through the many lives he touched with his kindness, humor, and faith.
