

He is survived by his wife of more than 50 years, Judy Brooks. His surviving family also includes his daughter, Andrea (Bryan) Statham; son, Brad (Tiffany) Brooks; grandchildren, William Statham, Brooks Statham, Gray Statham of Birmingham, AL and Brynley Brooks and Graycen Brooks of Dallas, TX; his brother, Charles (Pattye) Brooks, III of Nashville, TN and twin sister, Glenda Lawson of Johnson City, TN.
A native of Nashville, TN, Mr. Brooks graduated from Montgomery Bell Academy where he enjoyed playing football for The Big Red. He then earned his degree in Pharmacy from Samford University. After graduating from Samford, he joined his father as a pharmacist at Brooks Pharmacy in Nashville for the next 40 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family in Nashville and Florida. His favorite hobbies were traveling, golf and searching for great restaurants.
Friends are cordially invited to the Visitation which will be held from eleven-thirty in the morning until two on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Woodlawn Funeral Home with Graveside Service to follow at two-thirty at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Dogwood Garden.
