

Homer was born in Trezevant, TN on July 20, 1926, to the late Homer Fay and Myrtle Grogan Pearson. He is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Constance L. “Connie” Pearson; along with 4 devoted children, Charles A. “Chuck” Pearson (Catalina), Donna Beck (Jim), Debbie Partin (Norman), Dottie Key (James); 8 grandchildren, Stacey Broadstreet (Mark), Heather Beck, Kelly Joy (David), Amanda Ray (Charley), Christian Key (Rachel), Constance Burkhart (Chris), Caleb Key (Anu), Christina Hudgens (Kyle); great-grandchildren, Ashley, Sierra, Kenny, Peter, Laura, Shawn, Maryn , Pearson, Kyla; step-great-grandchildren, Megan, Eli, Madison; and new great-great grandson, Wyatt. Mr. Pearson was in Huntingdon, TN and that is where he met his beloved Connie. They married on February 5, 1946 and later resided in Nashville, TN. He was a member of Crieve Hall Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Army for 6 years and the Tennessee National Guard for 36 years. He was a Commander of the Marksmanship Training Unit and retired as a Colonel. Anyone who knew Mr. Pearson knew of his love of his family. Although many respectfully referred to him as The Colonel, he was affectionately known to his family as Dad, Grandad, and G-Dad. Visitation will be from two o’ clock in the afternoon until six on Saturday, July 16, 2016 and again from one o’ clock in the afternoon until two-thirty on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at two-thirty. Memorial contributions may be made to Alive Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Society.
