Jackie Glenn Jonte, 62 of Old Hickory TN died Tuesday November 1, 2022. Jackie was born in Nashville TN on May 6, 1960 to Willis and Willie Jonte. Jackie grew up in the Nashville area, graduating from Antioch High School. He soon met and married Kathy Lambert. For a time, they lived in Destin, Florida where he loved to go deep sea fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. Returning to Nashville, Jackie worked at the Donelson Middle school. He enjoyed watching sports, whether it was the Predators, the Titans or his favorite “Vandy” teams. His greatest joy though was spending time with his grandson ”Grandpa loved Weylyn.”
Jackie was preceded in death by his parents Willis and Willie Jonte and a daughter Kimberly Ann Jonte.
Jackie is survived by his wife Kathy of 39 years, daughter Deena Jonte, grandson Weylyn, sisters, Wanda (Skip) Abbott, Teresa Stokes, brothers, Joseph (Debbie) Jonte and Al (Steph) Jonte, 6 nephews and 4 nieces.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Mount Olivet Funeral Home 1101 Lebanon Pike, Nashville TN from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00PM on Tuesday November 8, 2022. Graveside services to be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
