My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Uncle Jay & Aunt Joanie were two that I enjoyed bringing my kids to visit.  They made me feel like family just as my babies & for that I was thankful. I'm truly glad I made it there Christmas for a visit to see Aunt Joanie & Uncle Jay, not knowing it would be last visit with him.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Aunt Joanie & all their children. My heart feels for you all as well as my kids, who made a great bond with you both, my oldest son Michael had a bond with uncle Jay like no great great nephew ever will know, for that in itself I am thankful to him for giving that to my son.

I didnt get to know you all to well, but you are an Ashworth and that makes you part of me. So I hope your dancing on clouds and as happy as one could be with wings.

I haven't got to be a part of this side of the family since Dad died when I was so young, but Thanks to fb I have been able to get back in contact with everyone & I am grateful for that. I'm very grateful to Ricky for throwing together the Family Reunion so I was able to see everyone again. It was great to see u there Uncle James & I'm glad I got the chance to come see you in the Hospital. That day at the Hospital I never thought that would be the last time Id get to see you, but I Thank God I got those two chances before He took you home! You now are in a better place & no longer in pain or suffering! You may be gone home now, but you will not be forgotten ever! You will remain in the hearts of many!! Will u please give Dad a big hug for me & tell him that I love & miss him when you see him? Also Granny Henson, Granny, Papa, & Aunt Bonnie. Thank you! Love you Uncle James & may you R.I.P.

I never met James Ashworth. But I've known his daughter Ann for about 28years. She talked about her Dad alot. She loved him so much. My heart goes out for my best friend Ann & her family. Uncle Jay you were like a grandfather to me you and grandad are the only ones ive ever known the bond we had was second to  none. Thank you so much for everything youve ever done for me without you and aunt joanie i wouldnt know what true love between a man and a woman is. I bought a suit yesterday, my first one, to wear to your service. I wanted to show everyone how much you mean to me and how much i respect you. There is no man on this earth I love and respect the way I did you. Im glad we got to spend new years eve with you that was the best new years ive ever had, remember the last thing you asked me to do? Well its done I didnt do it all by myself but the day you left us I fixed that plumbing. Like you always told me your a good man Uncle Jay I only have one regret I wasnt there with you when you left us, I didnt get to say bye. So hopefully this isnt goodbye maybe ill see you again someday. I love you Uncle Jay I miss you more then anyone can imagine.

Dad,you will always be in my heart,to go with me where I go....I love you and I will miss you greatly, I sometimes think back to when I was eight years old,I got an easy bake oven for christmas,and I would  have a little cake made and a glass of milk ready for when you got home from work,I would be so excited just to make you happy...And thank you for saving my life daddy, the time I nearly drowned,you saved me and the time a water moccasin was coming straight at me you pushed me out of the way and killed the snake... We will be having viewing of James Ashworth on Tuesday January 10, 2012 at Woodlawn Funeral Home between 12 noon and 1 pm. This is for friends and family. Directly following will be graveside service.

To all of you who loved J.R., The short time I was priveledged to know him left me very fond of him. I have the utmost respect for him, and know how much he was loved by his family. Karen and Tori, I am thinking of you both. Please know how much I love you. Ed England
