

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Louise Bransford Frazer, their three children, Eve Frazer, Genevieve Ferguson (Hill Ferguson), and Jay Frazer (Anne Keeble Frazer) and his beloved grandchildren, William Ferguson, James Ferguson, Dudley Ferguson, Lilly Frazer, and Jack Frazer. He is also survived by his sister Lynn Frazer McManus (Sam McManus) of Nashville, the Spahts (San Francisco, CA), Lendermans (Nashville), Morrises (Dallas, TX), and Fords (Woodville, MS).
Mr. Frazer was born in Nashville Tennessee in 1938. He attended Parmer Elementary School and was a graduate of Episcopal High School in Alexandra, VA in 1957. While at Vanderbilt he was a president of Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He graduated from Vandy with a Bachelor’s Degree in 1961. Upon Graduation, Mr. Frazer joined the ROTC to serve in the army and was stationed in Germany for two years. He returned to Nashville and embarked on a successful career as a syndicate manager at JC Bradford until his retirement in 1998. At Bradford, Mr. Frazer was affectionately known as “Dr. No”, and infamous for eating lunch, every day for 33 years, at the Satsuma restaurant.
Mr. Frazer enjoyed golf and was a member of the Belle Meade Country Club. Over the years Mr. Frazer served on the boards of Harding Academy as well as the residence board at The Sovereign in the Cayman Islands. He enjoyed traveling the world with Louise and especially loved his time in the Cayman Islands sitting amongst friends on the beach watching sunsets, hoping to see “the green flash”. His home on Center Hill Lake was very close to his heart. He taught many children how to water ski and would spend hours on the lake with friends and family. An avid sports fan, Mr. Frazer was a passionate supporter of the Vanderbilt Commodores and a loyal Tennessee Titan enthusiast. He was an excellent cook who had a great love for everything food and wine.
Mr. Frazer had many friends and particularly cherished his group of lifelong pals who called themselves “The Birthday Boys”. They would gather often to celebrate birthdays and holidays and sometimes travel together to exotic destinations. He loved animals and throughout the years had a virtual menagerie of well-loved pets from cats and dogs to skunks and geese. In his later years, Mr. Frazer’s favorite activity was walking his beloved dog, Cody.
The family will receive friends for visitation from noon to 2:00 pm at St. Georges Episcopal Church, 4715 Harding Pike Nashville, TN 37205 Monday, November 11, 2024. A graveside service will be held following the visitation at 3:00 at Mt Olivet Cemetery 1101 Lebanon Pike, Nashville, TN 37210.
