Born in Nashville, TN August 8, 1919 to the late Anthony and Bessie Brown Reilly. He attended Cathedral Grammar School and Father Ryan High school graduating in the class of 1938. He served in the U.S. Army , W.W. II from 1941 until 1945. After his service he worked for the railroad before becoming a Metro Policeman where he retired with the rank of Sargent after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #544 and a communicant of The Cathedral of the Incarnation.
Preceded in death by his parents, brothers and spouses Monsignor Francis J. Reilly, Anthony (Mildred) Reilly, Leo (Catherine) Reilly, William (Marjorie) Reilly, John (Anna Marie) Reilly and Joseph “Black Cat” Reilly and sister, Sister Anthony Reilly, Daughters of Charity .
Survived by wife Darleen Doyle Reilly and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 am Friday, May 22, 2015 at the Cathedral of the Incarnation. Interment to follow at Mt Olivet Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held 4:00 until 7:00 pm Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the Fleming Center at The Cathedral of the Incarnation.
