

She was preceded in death by her husband, of 66 years Roy R. Manning, Jr.; her parents, Philip Job Davis and Katherine Burns Davis; and her siblings, Philip Joseph Davis, John Burns Davis, Mary Jo Davis Levine, and Robert Tucker Davis.
Jane is survived by her son, Roy R. Manning III (Denise); grandsons Roy R. Manning IV, Christopher D. Manning (Lauren), and Patrick C. Manning (Liz); and great-grandchildren Parker Jane and Madison Marie Manning, and Claire Elizabeth and Davis Patrick Manning. She is also survived by her siblings Alphonse Henry Davis, Helen Davis Alexander, Francis Patrick Davis, and Sister Philip Joseph Davis, O.P.
Jane received her education at Overbrook School, St. Bernard Academy, Ward-Belmont College, and Peabody Teachers College. She dedicated over 30 years to education as a teacher at St. Henry’s and later as a librarian at Hillwood High School. After retiring in 1990, she enjoyed gardening, traveling, and spending cherished time with her husband at their farm in Centerville.
She was a member of the Campbell Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and the Colonna Club.
A private Funeral Mass of Christian Burial was held at the Cathedral of the Incarnation in Nashville, followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests donations be made to the Kevin Davis Scholarship Fund c/o Father Ryan High School, 700 Norwood Drive, Nashville, TN 37204.
