Mother,
We have just endured another Christmas without you. Each special day is so lonely with you gone. I miss you so much and wish that I could have just one more day with you. You were not only my mother, but my best friend. I really miss just stopping by your house for a visit. Everyone who knew you, loved you because you were the sweetest person around. I know that you and Aunt Frances and Uncle Dud are having a blast together in heaven. Knowing that gives me the strength to get out of bed in the mornings. Please give them a hug for me as they were always around when we needed them. I wish you could have stayed with us to meet my grandchildren Belle Ann and Jacob. They are the sweetest children and I will be sure to let them know how great their great-grandmother was and all you accomplished while here on earth. Again, I miss you and love you very much and can hardly wait for the day when I see you again.

Dear Joe: The sorrow pam and i fell for you is overwhelming, i know that you are devistated by this. i find solice in the fact that jean was a christian and that she is in heaven with our lord at this moment. we are sorry we could not attend as pam is recovering from surgery herself. if there is anything we can do to aid you, please feel free to ask. god bless you and your family at this difficult time. we wil always keep you and jean in our hearts, and covet the great times we shared together. love, erik & pam hagelberg

Joe I am so sorry for your loss.  Jean was very kind.  She was good to my grandchildren. She was willing to lend a hand when we all needed help with someone to watch after them. They loved her very much. She will be missed by them.

Jean has always been a very big part of my life.  As sisters we shared many things through life and she has ALWAYS been there for me as I have tried to be for her.  She was a dear, kind lady and precious to me.  I will miss her tremendously. Out of 5 children there are only 2 left now, myself and my older brother.  Rest in peace dear Jean, I will be with you soon.

Dear Family,

I am in the middle of moving to Atlanta this weekend and am just now opening my email.  I am shocked and so sorry that Jean has died. We have lost touch with each other, but I have fond memories of our times together. I will not be able to attend the funeral, but I will have you in my thoughts and prayers. Love to all of you. Joe, I am so sorry to hear about Jean. The times that I spent with her, I came to know her as a very sweet and loving lady. I know she will truly be missed. My prayers and thoughts are with you at this time,

I want you to know that Jean played a BIG part in my life.  I love her, and I am so grateful she was my aunt.  I will remember her sweet kindness and patient, kind spirit as long as I live.  She was a gentle sufferer in life and her quiet passing from death to life prevented those same sufferings in death.  She has now passed into the arms of God surrounded by angels.  From now on, she will be in the perfect, peaceful Heaven where she will know no more suffering, and she is richly deserving of such an eternal rest.  I will greatly miss her.

Karen, Donna, Keatha and other family members - I know how sad you must be with the loss of your Beloved Mother and Grandmother. I remember how kind and gentle she was.  I so admired her youthful approach to life and how she embrached her family.  A candle has been lit for her and your family in rememberance of the wonderful life she lived. So sorry to hear of Jean's unexpected passing. She was such a sweet and gentle lady and enriched my life so much for so many years. We had some great times over these past 30 years thru our square dance activity. She was a mainstay and supporter in every since of the word. We will miss her greatly. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
