

Jean Mitchell Maze, Age 95 passed away in her home on Sunday, March 30, 2025. She was born on January 8, 1930, in Winchester, TN to the late James Clifton and Flora Mitchell. She cared for children in her home for many years and was a proud Business Administrator at Sears for 17 years.
She excelled at cooking, gardening, and sewing, and loved being with her family. She was a charter member of Haywood Hills Baptist Church. She loved serving as Sunday School teacher to children for many years. She dearly loved her Sunday School Class and her friends at church.
Her loving husband, Lonnie Edward Maze, Sr. preceded her in death in 1999. Mrs. Maze is also preceded in death by her parents, James and Flora Mitchell, her son Lonnie Edward Maze, Jr., her daughter Faye Bradshaw, her granddaughter, Elonia Henson, her sister Joyce Brazier, and her brother EW Mitchell.
She is survived by her grandson Lonnie Edward Maze, III (Courtney), granddaughters Amy Maze and Tiffany Bradshaw (Joel Silver), daughter in law, Dyeanne Maze, and 8 great grandchildren, Kelsie Bradshaw, Samantha Henson, Madison Maze, Eddie Maze IV, Kayla Bradshaw, Molly Maze, Kara Bradshaw, and Karter Silver.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home with funeral services following at 1:00 p.m. Pastors Phillip Barnett, Bobby Howard, and Patrick Hamilton will officiate the service. Graveside service to follow.
The family would like to thank all the wonderful nurses, aids, and staff at Alive Hospice for the care they have given to Mrs. Maze over the last 2 weeks.
