Jo Anne "Jody" Arnold Hibbett

Jo Anne “Jody” Hibbett, Age 96 passed away peacefully April 29, 2023 at Bethany Center of Rehabilitation and Healing, Nashville, TN. She is preceded in death by her husband, (of 66 years) Ira Kneeland Hibbett, parents Samuel Richard and Beulah Duke Arnold. She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Jones and Victoria Blalock. Grandchildren William Hibbett (Michelle), Christina Eubanks (Kevin), Wyndi Brock (Byron), Adam Jones (Laurie), Chris Blalock (Caitlyn), Sam Blalock USCG (Kate). Great-grandchildren Kevin, Jordan (Savannah), Asa (Bianca), Kristopher, Elijah, Olivia, Aydia, Jackson, Audrey, Calvin, Caroline, Finley, Eloise, Great-Great-Granddaughter, Kehlani.

She was a lifelong member of Forrest Hills United Methodist Church, was active in various church activities and sang in the choir for over 75 years. She was owner of Hibbett Catering Service for more than 25 years and was a distributor for Viviane Woodard Cosmetics for many years.

She had a zest for life and lived every minute to the fullest. So often she would say “live life to the fullest and keep on keeping on”. And that she certainly did. She will be greatly missed.

The family would like to thank the staff at Bethany Center and Avenna Hospice for their compassion and the care they provided.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, May 12, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. A gathering of family and friends will occur Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. A celebration of life service will follow on Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 10:00 am, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204.
