John "Jackson" Benjamin Downey, Jr., age 75, entered this life on December 29, 1944 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was born to John "Jack" Benjamin Downey Sr. and Miriam Ezell Downey. Jackson had numerous hobbies: Private pilot, water skiing, sailing, boating, traveling, golf, tennis, scuba diving, motorcycle riding, and playing the violin He is preceded in death by his father, Jack Downey, Sr.; He is survived by his wife, Brenda West Downey; daughter, Dawn Downey; mother, Miriam Downey; siblings, Rodney Downey, Billy Downey and Richard Downey; a host of nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later time. Interment will be in Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee
