

Dr. Bradley was born in Westmoreland, TN June 17, 1923 and soon after moved to Nashville where he lived and worked for the remainder of his life.
Dr. Bradley entered the United States Army in 1942 and served 2 years in Europe, receiving numerous metals and citations, receiving his honorable discharge as a Staff Sergeant. After service in the army, he entered Pharmacy school graduating from Ole Miss in 1951.
Dr. Bradley worked at local pharmacies in Nashville until February 1963 when he established his own Bradley Drug Company at 52nd and Charlotte where it is still located. He served as the president of the Nashville Retail Druggist Association in 1960.
Dr. Bradley was very active in the community; he sponsored the Cohn High Athletic Program and gave financial scholarships over the years to Cohn High School, MTSU and TSU. He was cofounder of the West Nashville Community Council whose initial objective was to bring Community Education to West Nashville where he served as President. He also served as President of the West Nashville Community Development Association and helped acquire government funding for the Richland Park Business District. He also volunteered his time and resources to the Cohn Adult Learning Center and the Senior Renaissance Center at Cohn.
Dr. Bradley was a communicate of St. Ann Catholic Church where his generosity helped many, both children in St. Ann School and members of his beloved church. He also served on numerous boards for The Diocese of Nashville.
He is preceded in death by his wife Catherine Murphy Bradley. Survived by Children JoAnne (Robert) Atwood, Phillip (Lynne) Bradley and Barbara Tucker, grandchildren Greg, Doug (Bridgett), and Mike Atwood. Matt, Sarah, and Abby Tucker, step-grandchildren Alex (Whitley) Proctor, Lindsay (Anthony) Valentine and Andy Brown, great-grandchildren Ella, Mac and Parker Atwood, step-great-grandchildren Kimberly, TJ, Lillie and Allie Valentine, brother Obie Bradley and Bill Hipps devoted golf partner and friend..
Joe Bradley was a great family man and businessman who helped many people through his life.
Visitation Thursday March 12th from 4-8 pm at St. Ann Parish Life Center (behind) Church with the Rosary recited at 7 pm. Visitation Friday 13th at 10 am until service time at 11 am at St. Ann Catholic Church, 5101 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, TN 37209. Interment to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
