Joseph C. Miller

MILLER, Joseph C. (JOE) gained his promotion to heaven on September 26, 2018. He is preceded in death by his wife of 39 yrs. Frances Murdock Miller and daughter Susan Finch. Joe is survived by his brother Jim (Bette) Miller, his children Roger (Cheryl) Miller, Son In Law Kenny Finch and David (Lisa) Miller, grandchildren Michael R. Miller, Sarah (Michael) Norrod, Amanda (James) Adams, Joseph (Jessica) Miller, Troy (Misty) Jones, Brandi (Sam) Bennett and Heather (Bi) Phetsomphou. Joe has 10 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

Joe served in the US Air Force in the Korean conflict, had a career with IBM as a field technician for 33 yrs. At 55, Joe took early retirement from IBM and opened “Joe Miller Motors” on Shady Grove Rd. for 20 yrs. in his community of Donelson, where he was proud to call home for over 50 years. For over the last year and a half, Joe lived at Charter Senior Living. Joe endeared and blessed all who met him and left wonderful memories to be treasured. Joe Miller was the epitome of a southern gentleman known for his generosity and love and will be well missed.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 29th, 2018 at Woodlawn- Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, 660 Thompson Lane,37204.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall. Entombment to follow in Woodlawn’s Cross Mausoleum.

In Lieu of Flowers donations can be made to the Veterans Administration or to Alzheimer’s Research.
