KEMP, Julian Fisher, “Tip,” age 93, of Thompson’s Station, passed away on January 1, 2011. Preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Miriam Kemp; beloved son Julian Albert Kemp; and sister Jo Nell West. Survived by two daughters, Mary Cooper and Carolyn Trest (Jimmy); daughter-in-law Joy Kemp; six grandchildren, Phyllis McCasland (Joe), Sherrie Kemp, Kim Kemp, Jody Cooper (Annette), Aaron Dugger (Cheryl), and Lauren Dugger; three great-grandchildren, Amanda Whitman (Michael), Stephen McCasland, and Will Cooper; and two nieces. A quick wit, a talent for storytelling, and devotion to family are just a few of the qualities for which Tip will be remembered. He will be deeply missed by his adoring family. Visitation will take place at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, on Monday, January 3, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Woodlawn Chapel on Tuesday, January 4, at 1:00 p.m., Julian Goodpaster officiating. Pall bearers include Jody Cooper, Aaron Dugger, Jimmy Trest, Michael Whitman, Joshua Lombardo, and David Roberts. Honorary pall bearers are Joe McCasland, Elvis Caldwell, Donnie Clemons, and William Osborne.
