
Ladell Henry Morgan, 100, quietly went to be with his Lord Tuesday, September 6, 2016. He was born in Alabama to the late Mary Morgan Sawyer. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Max Morgan (AL), Dayton Morgan (CA) and his sister, Ernestine Morgan Richardson (TN). Mr. Morgan’s wife, Naomi Nabors Morgan (FL) preceded his death Surviving are two sons, Victor Morgan (Sharon) of Greenville, SC and Richard Morgan (Jeanne) of New Port Richie, FL; three grandsons, Jarod Morgan (Lindsey) , Jacob Morgan of Greenville, SC, Matthew (Jennifer) Morgan of Charles Town, WVA ; one granddaughter, Carole Morgan Chesney (Dan) of Greenville, SC; and three great grandchildren. In addition to these, many nieces and nephews will mourn the passing of Ladell Morgan. Mr. Morgan was part of the Greatest Generation. He was raised during the Great Depression. When his country called during WWII, Mr. Morgan served in the army as a quartermaster. Returning home he continued his education at Trevecca Nazarene University, Peabody College and Nazarene Theological Seminary. During his life, Mr. Morgan would retire as a USAF Chaplain, public school educator and Nazarene minister. Many lines of work would keep Mr. Morgan busy but none was more important to him than his work for the Lord as a pastor in the Church of the Nazarene. He had a deep love and appreciation for Trevecca Nazarene University where he became a Christian as a student. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 13th 2016 from ten o’clock in the morning until eleven thirty in the morning at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. The Funeral will begin at eleven thirty in the morning in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall, graveside services to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
